It is possible to bullshit somebody, but it is not possible to poppycock, or to twaddle, or to horseshit anyone.

better than god.

"Something had decided that it wasn't my time yet," he writes. Maybe it was his infant daughter. Maybe God. Or maybe—and this is just a hunch—it was the steroids, calling to save their champion.

Sideways: Now It's a Corduroy
MICHAEL KRANTZ

Published: February 13, 2005

Corduroys have gained a little latitude. A new line of "horizontal" cords for men called Cordarounds showed up online last month and sold out in two weeks. Not so surprising, perhaps: "Women in bars are always feeling my legs," said Chris Lindland, who came up with the idea and is producing the pants with a business partner, Enrique Landa. The corduroys, in colors like olive, toffee and ink blue, have the company's logo on a red inner-leg tab, and the waistbands and pockets are lined with whimsical prints; $88 at www.cordarounds.com.
